Premium Airfreight Coordinator

Job Description

ACS Time Critical Service are looking for a proactive and detail oriented Premium Airfreight Coordinator to join our Time Critical Division.

Working on Next Flight Out (NFO) shipments, this position is ideal for someone with previous air freight and logistics experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to manage urgent, high priority shipments where every minute counts.

  • As an Airfreight Coordinator, you will be responsible or arranging the fastest possible transportation solutions for time sensitive shipments, ensuring they move efficiently y via the next available flight whilst maintaining exceptional communication with customer, airlines and internal teams.
  • Duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting with the global expansion of the Time-Critical Airfreight department
  • Coordinate and manage premium airfreight shipments from origin to destination, including same-day and next flight-out services
  • Booking and execution of daily Premium Airfreight shipments (NFO) from initial enquiry through to completion
  • Liaise with airlines, handling agents and providers to ensure smooth shipment movement
  • Work closely with the wider operations team to deliver high-quality service under tight deadlines
  • Be the go to contact person for customers and business development
  • Provide clear and timely updates to customers regarding shipment status
  • Attend trade fairs and events to represent the company and increase brand awareness

Qualifications

  • UK-based freight forwarding experience (air freight import/export operations) - essential
  • Understanding of air cargo operations and airline booking processes
  • Experience coordinating with airlines, ground handlers and trucking providers
  • Ability to manage time-critical shipments with tight deadlines and operational pressure
  • Familiarity with air freight documentation such as AWB, manifests, and export documentation
  • Strong communication skills for client interaction and supplier coordination
  • Experience outside the UK market, particularly exposure to international air freight operations - desirable
  • Dangerous Goods certification or prior DG handling knowledge - desirable

Additional Information

  • Standard working hours 0900 - 1730 - once training has been completed there will be a requirement to participate in an on-call weekend rotation and ocassional evening shifts to accommodate coverage aligned with U.S operations hours
