About the Role:
Powys County Council is seeking an experienced and qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our team in North Powys. This is a full-time role that offers an opportunity to make a significant impact within the community by providing essential mental health support services.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct mental health assessments, focusing on the care and safety of individuals under the Mental Health Act.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, family members, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for individuals experiencing mental health crises.
Execute decisions and interventions to safeguard individuals and uphold their dignity, working within the framework of mental health legislation.
Review and monitor cases, providing updates and adjustments as necessary to meet the changing needs of service users.
Requirements:
Must be a fully qualified AMHP to be considered for this role.
Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation.
Ability to work effectively in challenging situations, making decisions that prioritize the well-being of individuals in crisis.
