Summary: The Power System Studies Engineer role involves conducting power system studies and managing third-party vendors for various onshore and offshore projects. This 12-month contract position offers a hybrid working arrangement with two remote days per week and is classified as outside IR35. The ideal candidate will have experience with ETAP software and a background in power system studies related to local generation and renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run power system studies and oversee third-party vendors providing power system studies.
- Utilize ETAP software for all studies.
- Conduct equipment sizing, load flow, short circuit, dynamic motor starting, harmonic studies, arc flash, transient stability, and protection coordination.
- Work on projects involving local power generation, renewable power, and grid connections up to 220kV.
