Summary: The Power Platform Technical Architect role is a 3-month contract position focused on designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies within the insurance sector. The architect will define end-to-end architecture, establish governance frameworks, and ensure integrations with various Microsoft and third-party services. The position requires a strong background in IT, particularly with Power Platform tools and related technologies. The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days on-site in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define end-to-end architecture for solutions built on Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions aligned with Microsoft best practices.
- Architect integrations with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure services, Dataverse, and third-party systems.
- Establish solution patterns, reusable components, and reference architectures TOGAF or similar qualification.
- Develop and implement Power Platform governance frameworks (environment strategy, DLP policies, security model).
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of IT experience, with 3+ years focused on Microsoft Power Platform.
- Deep expertise in Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven Apps), Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop flows), Power BI, Dataverse, and Power Platform governance & security.
- Strong understanding of Azure services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus), Microsoft 365 ecosystem, REST APIs and custom connectors, and identity & access management (Azure AD / Entra ID).
- Experience implementing ALM using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Domain knowledge in the insurance sector, including underwriting workbench or similar experience, and knowledge of policy admin and claims platform integration.
- Strong knowledge of solution architecture patterns and integration design.
