Summary: The Power Platform Migration Lead is responsible for managing and executing tenant-to-tenant migrations across Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Dataverse environments. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure data integrity and governance alignment during the migration process. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in the Power Platform ecosystem and a proven track record in enterprise-level migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full migration lifecycle of Power Platform assets, including Power Apps (Canvas, Model-driven, embedded), Power Automate flows, Power BI reports and datasets, Dataverse environments, and custom connectors/shared gateways
- Conduct full discovery and audit of the source tenant to identify owners, usage, licensing, data connectors, and dependencies
- Classify solutions into business-critical, deprecated, or personal use categories
- Build and implement a phased migration plan including packaging into managed/unmanaged solutions, rebuilding connections, and validating post-migration integrity of flows, apps, and reports
- Enforce governance and DLP policies through the Power Platform Admin Center
- Collaborate with app owners and developers to ensure readiness and provide support post-migration
- Adopt and roll out the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit in the new tenant
- Maintain clear documentation on all migration tasks, issues, resolutions, and testing outcomes
Key Skills:
- 4+ years hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate
- Proven background in tenant-to-tenant Power Platform migrations
- Strong knowledge of solution packaging using Dataverse ALM (managed/unmanaged)
- Experience configuring environment strategies and enforcing DLP via Admin Center
- Proficient in scripting/automation using PowerShell, Power Platform CLI, Graph API, or M365 CLI
- Confident in documenting processes and reporting testing results clearly
- Microsoft certifications: PL-100, PL-400, PL-600 (nice to have)
- Familiarity with the Power Platform CoE Starter Kit (nice to have)
