Summary: Our client is seeking an SC cleared Engineer to take on the role of Power Platform Developer, specializing in Dynamics Finance & Operations and Commerce. The position requires expertise in environment provisioning, deployment lifecycle management, and security configuration. Candidates must have a high-level security clearance or have held one in the past, as security clearance is mandatory prior to appointment. The role is based in London and classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environment Provisioning Expertise - Experience provisioning sandbox, demo, and production environments using Lifecycle Services (LCS), including configuration of Common Data Service (Dataverse) and SQL database settings.
  • Deployment Lifecycle Management - Skilled in managing the full deployment lifecycle: planning, configuring, validating, and executing deployments across development, test, UAT, and production environments.
  • Version & Update Control - Ability to apply and manage application updates, including binary package handling and update validation.
  • Environment Strategy Design - Capable of designing environment strategies, including multi-region rollouts, pilot environments, and parallel system operations.
  • Security & Access Configuration - Proficient in configuring environment-level security, user roles, and access controls to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
  • Integration Readiness - Ensures environments are properly configured for integrations (e.g., Dual Write, Power Platform, external systems), including endpoint setup and data flow validation.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting - Experience using LCS monitoring tools and telemetry to identify and resolve provisioning or deployment issues efficiently.
  • Documentation & Governance - Maintains detailed documentation of environment configurations, deployment steps, and rollback procedures to support governance and audit requirements.

Key Skills:

  • SC clearance or previous high-level security clearance.
  • Expertise in Dynamics Finance & Operations and Commerce.
  • Experience with Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Common Data Service (Dataverse).
