Summary: The Power Platform Developer role involves working on the VME modernization project, focusing on the development of new and existing products within a collaborative team environment. The position requires advanced skills in Power Apps and experience with Service Portals, alongside a commitment to quality and adherence to development standards. The developer will also engage in testing, problem management, and process improvement initiatives. This is a hybrid role based in Telford, requiring attendance in the office two days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and existing products in accordance with agreed requirements and development standards.
  • Test products to ensure they meet the required standards and are fit for purpose.
  • Assist the Development Lead in estimating realistic timescales for project completion.
  • Complete assigned work within agreed time, cost, and quality criteria, providing progress reports as needed.
  • Manage and control problems and changes within the area of responsibility, negotiating with other teams as necessary.
  • Escalate problems, issues, and risks promptly as required.
  • Participate in process improvement and comply with relevant quality processes and procedures.
  • Utilize knowledge of Agile methodology, OO Analysis & Design techniques, and Data Modelling.
  • Maintain awareness of Risk, Change & Problem Management, Configuration Management, and testing best practices.
  • Understand DevOps Pipelines and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
