Power BI Report Developer - 6 Month Contract - £500 a day
My client is currently seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join a fast-paced organisation on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical capability with the confidence to engage stakeholders and translate business requirements into impactful reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions
- Write and optimise complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse data
- Deliver clear, insightful visualisations that support decision-making
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across reporting solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-led outcomes
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, visualisation best practices)
- Solid SQL skills, including performance tuning and complex query writing
- Experience working directly with stakeholders and managing expectations
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a BI/data reporting role
- Python experience is desirable but not essential
Desirable
- Experience working in agile environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms (eg Azure, GCP)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
