Summary: The Power BI Officer role at the Mayor’s Office for Policing And Crime (MOPAC) involves conducting analytics related to crime and policing in London, supporting the Mayor in his capacity as Police and Crime Commissioner. The position requires developing performance analysis products and managing projects while collaborating with various stakeholders. This hybrid role allows for significant remote work, with only one day per month required in the office. The contract is for six months, with potential extensions available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and quality assure complex quantitative data analysis, including big data analysis and statistical modelling.
- Develop and maintain performance analysis and reporting products, such as data dashboards.
- Write reports and conduct presentations to communicate findings and insights effectively.
- Manage projects, assess risks, and oversee line management responsibilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across MOPAC and the Metropolitan Police Service to monitor performance against commitments in the Police and Crime Plan.
- Contribute to national debates on crime and policing performance management and assist in the development of national policy.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in data analysis and performance reporting, preferably in a public sector or policing context.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools.
- Excellent statistical and analytical skills with experience in handling large datasets.
- Strong project management skills and experience in managing teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to public service.
