Summary: The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business needs, integrating data from various systems, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver insights. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs
- Integrate and interpret data from Rulebook (Verisk) and OpenTWINS (Trace) systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Optimise Power BI data models and ensure accuracy, performance, and usability
- Maintain documentation for reports, data models, and processes
- Work closely with IT and the Reporting team to ensure data quality and consistency
- Support project delivery aligned with strategic objectives and timelines
- Design and implement report templates for external client use while ensuring security, usability, and professional presentation
- Ensure reports are compliant with relevant internal policies and industry regulations
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling
- Solid understanding of insurance industry data and reporting needs
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server, including writing complex queries, procedures, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with or exposure to Rulebook (by Verisk) and OpenTWINS (by Trace) is highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Experience in building external-facing dashboards and understanding of report security and user access controls
