Summary: The Power BI Developer role focuses on designing and delivering high-quality dashboards and reports for a client in the Luxury Travel sector. The position requires transforming data from an existing Data Warehouse into actionable insights. The developer will work closely with stakeholders to ensure reporting standards and metrics are met. This is a hybrid role based in North West London, offering a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build engaging Power BI dashboards and reports for multiple business areas.
- Translate complex data into intuitive, user-friendly visualisations.
- Develop static and dynamic reports tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Create and manage Power BI datasets and semantic models.
- Build measures and logic using DAX.
- Transform and shape data using Power Query.
- Define and deliver key business metrics (revenue, bookings, occupancy, guest movements, conversion, fleet utilisation).
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and refine outputs.
- Ensure consistency in reporting standards, layout, and KPI definitions.
- Maintain documentation and reporting best practices.
Key Skills:
- Strong Power BI development experience, ideally in the travel sector.
- Experience with Azure data environments.
- Exposure to operational business data (sales, finance, operations).
- Advanced DAX, Power Query, and data modelling skills.
- Proven ability to produce visually strong, user-focused dashboards.
- Experience working with data from a central Data Warehouse.
- Strong SQL for data validation and exploration.
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions.
