Summary: A leading global financial services firm is looking for a Power BI Dashboard Developer to join their Insider Risk Education and Business Intelligence team on a contractual basis. The role involves designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring data accuracy. This position is based in Glasgow and requires a commitment of three days a week in the office for a one-year contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Power BI development and data visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements
- Ensure data accuracy by connecting and integrating multiple data sources
- Optimize existing dashboards for enhanced performance and usability
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and features
- Stay informed on the latest Power BI updates and data visualization best practices
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3-5 years of proven experience in Power BI development or a similar role
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query
- Experience integrating data from sources such as SQL and Excel
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) preferred
- Knowledge of database management and data warehousing preferred
- Familiarity with business intelligence and data analytics frameworks preferred
