Summary: The Power BI Developer will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Power BI to facilitate data-driven decision-making. This role involves creating interactive reports and dashboards, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization and analytics, particularly within the banking or financial domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements and objectives for data visualization.
- Develop and design interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
- Perform data modeling, create data visualizations, and maintain data accuracy and integrity within Power BI.
- Utilize DAX, SQL, and other programming languages to manipulate and transform data according to business needs.
- Optimize and enhance existing Power BI reports and dashboards for improved performance and user experience.
- Conduct user training sessions and provide support to end-users to ensure proper adoption and understanding of Power BI tools and solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence and data visualization technologies.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful BI projects.
- Proficient in using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, SQL, and data warehousing principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with additional BI tools like Tableau, QlikView, or Looker is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS and their data services.
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and manipulation.
