Summary: The Power BI Developer role is a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on enhancing visualization and reporting within a multi-disciplinary team. The position requires expertise in Power BI and SQL, with an emphasis on delivering intuitive solutions and promoting best practices across the organization. The role is hybrid, requiring 3-4 visits to the Lancashire offices each month. Candidates must reside in the North West to commute to the office.
Key Responsibilities:

Key Skills:
- Experience in using visualization standards and best practices for Power BI reports.
- Technical leadership in delivering innovative technical solutions.
- Broad knowledge of Enterprise IT solutions and data models in Manufacturing and distribution.
- SQL development within SQL Server Management Studio.
- Report development in Microsoft Power BI.
- Proficiency in DAX queries in Power BI Desktop.
- Experience with Data Modeling techniques such as Star Schema.
- Preferred knowledge of Microsoft ERP products, including D365.

Role purpose
To deliver enhanced visualisation and reporting and support BI Partners identifying opportunities for improved BI Outputs. Promote visualisation excellence and best practice throughout the business. Provide expertise within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the most appropriate technology and tools are used.
Proven experience with the following is essential: -
* Experience of using visualisation standards and best practices to design and deliver intuitive, well-designed solutions, focusing specifically on developing data-sets that can be consumed as Power BI reports
* Proven experience with providing the organisation with a high degree of technical leadership that in turn delivers innovative and appropriate technical solutions.
* This role requires a broad knowledge of typical Enterprise IT solutions and data models within a Manufacturing and distribution environment.
Demonstrable experience and proficiency with:-
* SQL development within SQL Server Management Studio.
* Report Development in Microsoft Power BI.
* Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI Desktop.
* Experience of Data Modelling techniques such as Star Schema, Conceptual, Logical.
* Preferred Knowledge of Microsoft ERP product and data including D365.
