Power BI Developer

Power BI Developer - £470 per day - Inside IR35- Hybrid working (3 days a week on site in Bristol) - Initial contract until end of 2026.

The Opportunity -

We are working with a leading organisation seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join their growing data and analytics function. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-impact reporting and insight solutions that drive business performance.

Our client is investing heavily in data and is looking for someone who can bridge the gap between technical delivery and business insight.

Key Responsibilities -

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions
• Develop and optimise data models and datasets
• Create and maintain DAX calculations and measures
• Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL databases, APIs, and cloud platforms
• Ensure data quality, performance, and governance standards are met
• Support continuous improvement of existing BI and reporting capabilities

Required Experience -

• Proven experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power BI
• Strong knowledge of DAX and data modelling best practices
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases
• Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail

Desirable Skills -

• Experience with Azure data services (eg Data Factory, Synapse)
• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL pipelines
• Experience in Agile delivery environments
• Exposure to additional BI tools or data platforms
