Power BI Designer/Analytics Consultant - Customer Portal & Mobile App Reporting

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Designer/Analytics Consultant on behalf of our client to lead the design and delivery of a new suite of reporting solutions for our authenticated customer portal and mobile app experience.

This is a senior, autonomous role requiring someone who can take full ownership of end-to-end reporting design - from concept and prototyping through to build, optimisation and deployment. You will work closely with digital teams, business stakeholders and analytics specialists to create intuitive, engaging and actionable reporting experiences that drive customer insight, digital performance understanding and measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of modern, user-centred Power BI dashboards for authenticated digital platforms and mobile app journeys.

• Translate business requirements into scalable, high-performing analytical solutions.

• Work across complex cloud data environments including Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and SQL-based architectures.

• Partner with digital product teams to embed reporting into customer self-service journeys.

• Provide thought leadership on best-practice dashboard design, data visualisation and digital analytics.

• Challenge conventional approaches and proactively recommend improvements that deliver meaningful business value.

• Communicate insights, design decisions and solution recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Expert-level Power BI capability, including data modelling, DAX, UX design and performance optimisation.

• Proven experience designing dashboards for authenticated portals, mobile apps, or customer self-service environments.

• Strong understanding of user-centred design and modern visualisation principles.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and SQL-based data architectures.

• Ability to operate autonomously and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal oversight.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.

Highly Desirable

• Experience with digital analytics, customer engagement reporting or mobile app performance metrics.

• Knowledge of PySpark and Spark-based data processing.

• Background in consulting or senior analytics roles with a strong business-outcome mindset.
