Power BI Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
• Migrate existing reporting solutions from Tableau to Power BI.
• Design and maintain scalable Power BI semantic models.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and provide actionable insights.
• Work closely with data teams to support reporting from modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Drive reporting best practices, governance, and standards.
• Improve report performance, usability, and scalability.
• Support self-service analytics capabilities across the business.
• Mentor team members and contribute to data and reporting strategy.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI development and administration.
• Experience designing and managing Power BI semantic models.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Previous experience participating in Tableau to Power BI migration programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and business engagement skills.
• Experience delivering reporting and analytics solutions within Financial Services or Asset Management environments.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.
• Experience working with modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks.
• Knowledge of reporting governance and self-service analytics strategies.
• Experience working within large-scale data transformation programmes.
• Exposure to AWS-based data platforms.
• Databricks would be good to have.
