Summary: Looking for a highly skilled Power BI / Reporting Services Developer to assist the Partner Reporting Lead in developing and managing reporting solutions connected to SQL Server. The role involves visualizing data through Power BI for management reporting and business intelligence, requiring strong SQL knowledge and the ability to work with complex datasets. The individual will also be responsible for automating reporting processes and ensuring data integrity and quality. Collaboration with team members and effective communication with stakeholders are essential for gathering requirements and providing updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports connected to SQL Server databases.
  • Create and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports for management and business intelligence.
  • Assist in automating the process of passing parameters to Reporting Services using predefined templates.
  • Develop procedures to generate a large number of reports from already transformed datasets for partner reporting.
  • Aid in migrating current reporting processes to more efficient, automated systems.
  • Assist in onboarding new reporting requirements for new partners.
  • Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets, ensuring data integrity and quality.
  • Work closely with the Partner Reporting Lead and other team members to understand and deliver on reporting requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide status updates.
  • Document reporting processes and solutions.
  • Adhere to best practices in data visualization and reporting.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or Reporting Services Developer.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with SQL Server.
  • Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and report server.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with other BI tools and technologies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
