Summary: As a Power BI Analyst, you will be responsible for creating and decoding dashboards, defining semantic models, and ensuring clarity in reporting logic. The role requires translating existing dashboards into technical and business logic specifications to guide back-end data. This position is a 6-month contract with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring attendance at the office two days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create new and decode existing dashboards.
- Define semantic models and ensure reporting logic is clear, consistent, and actionable.
- Translate existing dashboards into technical and business logic specifications.
- Work closely with data engineering teams to translate business logic into technical requirements.
- Validate metrics, filters, and visual accuracy across complex dashboard environments.

About the role

Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)
The must haves:
- Proven Advanced Power BI expertise, with demonstrable experience in reverse-engineering existing dashboards and detailing underlying logic and assumptions.
- Solid understanding of data modelling concepts, ETL pipelines, and SQL-based data sourcing to support data-driven visualisations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in validating metrics, filters, and visual accuracy across complex dashboard environments.
- Experience working closely with data engineering teams to translate business logic into technical requirements, ensuring consistent and reusable data assets.

This role provides a hybrid working access from the comforts of your own home and only going to our state-of-the-art office in the Cambridge- 2 days a week.
