Summary: The role of PostgreSQL DBA requires an individual with Active Security Clearance to manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases for a high-profile consultancy. The position involves core development, maintenance, and performance optimization, along with data migration and model development. The role is hybrid, requiring 1-2 days per week on-site in London. The contract duration is 6 months with a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator (PostgreSQL DBA)
  • Active Security Clearance (SC)
  • Core development / maintenance and performance optimisation (sharding, partitions)
  • Experience with clustering and extensions such as Pgvector, PostGIS, and AGE
  • Data migration experience from existing database(s) to Postgres database(s)
  • Ability to recreate existing data models and develop new data models in accordance with user requirements

  • Core development / maintenance and performance optimisation (sharding, partitions)

My client is a high profile Consultancy who urgently require a Database Administrator (PostgreSQL DBA) with Active Security Clearance (Active SC) to work with a high profile end customer.
