Summary: A leading global media organization is seeking a Freelance Podcast Audio Editor to support its expanding podcast division. The role is onsite in London and requires flexibility to work during both UK and US hours, primarily from Saturday to Wednesday. The editor will be responsible for editing and mixing podcast content to a broadcast-ready quality while collaborating with international teams. This freelance contract spans from July 21, 2025, to September 20, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and mix podcast interviews and docu-style content to broadcast-ready quality
  • Apply EQ, compression, de-essing, gating, and dialogue-leveling techniques to spoken-word recordings
  • Use Adobe Audition and Descript for waveform and multitrack editing, noise reduction, spectral repair, and text-to-audio workflows
  • Incorporate dynamic mixing techniques including fades, automation, panning, and effects such as reverb or filters
  • Prepare audio for delivery using proper LUFS standards and mastering chains
  • Collaborate with producers and editors across time zones
  • Operate and support remote recording workflows (Riverside, SquadCast, Descript Rooms)

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Audition and Descript
  • Experience mixing and mastering podcast or interview-based content
  • Strong understanding of audio post-production workflows and best practices
  • Familiarity with remote recording tools and protocols (Riverside, SquadCast, Descript Rooms)
  • Attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible schedule with availability across weekends and during overlapping UK/US working hours

Working Pattern: Up to 40 hours/week (primarily Saturday–Wednesday)
