About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Portfolio PMO Manager to join a major transformation programme within a leading global financial services organisation.

This role will play a key part in supporting the governance, reporting, and successful delivery of a portfolio of strategic change initiatives.

Working closely with Programme Directors, Project Managers, and senior stakeholders, you will provide delivery oversight, portfolio reporting, governance support, and management information to ensure programmes are delivered effectively and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead portfolio governance across multiple programmes and projects.
  • Produce high-quality executive reporting, dashboards, and management information.
  • Monitor programme performance, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Support business case development and investment governance.
  • Facilitate governance forums and steering committee meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement across PMO processes, reporting, and governance standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and governance packs.

Essential Experience

  • Strong background in PMO, Portfolio Management, Project Management, or Change Delivery.
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Previous experience within financial services, banking, or another highly regulated environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership.
  • Experience producing executive-level reporting and portfolio dashboards.
  • Knowledge of project governance, financial tracking, and risk management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, complex formulas; VBA desirable).
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
