Pod Lead - Data & Analytics - Data Platforms - Agile Delivery - Financial Services - Contract

Summary: You will join an award-winning bank, leading cross-functional pods to deliver data products, data platform changes, and analytics capabilities across the business. This role involves managing agile delivery and ensuring alignment with the UK Chief Data & Analytics Office. The position requires strong leadership in a global matrix organization, focusing on delivering measurable business value. You will also be responsible for stakeholder management and driving continuous improvement within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a multi-disciplinary pod delivering data & analytics products and features in an agile environment
• Manage and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring delivery excellence and value creation
• Coordinate pod activities, resolve blockers, and ensure optimal performance
• Drive planning, execution and governance across multiple data change workstreams
• Influence decision-making, manage risks/issues, and ensure benefits realisation
• Act as primary liaison between the pod and senior stakeholders across the organisation
• Promote agile practices, run ceremonies, and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure the pod has the right skills, resources and alignment with UK CDAO strategy
• Identify synergies, reduce complexity, and support standardisation across pods

Key Skills:

• 6+ years' proven experience leading pods/squads/cross-functional teams in global Matrix organisations
• Strong background in data platforms, data products, data migration and data change delivery
• Track record delivering on time, on budget, with measurable business value/benefits realisation
• Proven ability to run agile delivery (Scrum/SAFe/Sprint planning/backlog management)
• Experience managing scope, schedule, budget, RAIDs, resources, dependencies
• Excellent stakeholder management up to ExCo level
• Strong understanding of financial services
• Ability to drive continuous improvement, standardisation and cross-pod alignment
• Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
• Familiarity with HSBC change framework, governance and standards (preferred)

Salary (Rate): £450 per day
