Summary: The role of PMO - Project Management Officer at a leading Aerospace organization in Broughton involves driving best practices in project management within the manufacturing engineering department. The successful candidate will ensure effective planning, execution, and monitoring of projects while promoting Agile methodologies and supporting project leaders. Key responsibilities include establishing project plans, managing risks, and providing regular performance reporting. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of project management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure projects are supported with strong Project Management expertise and appropriate governance.
- Work with manufacturing project leaders on a day-to-day basis.
- Raise understanding of best practices in project management through coaching and awareness sessions.
- Shape methods and tools according to PM standards for project needs.
- Support efficient communication and stakeholder management.
- Promote Agile ways of working and act as Scrum Master for project activities.
- Establish end-to-end project plans and control changes versus the initial baseline.
- Identify Earned Value Management milestones and track performance against plans.
- Analyze project information to anticipate deviations and propose corrective actions.
- Provide clear and regular reporting throughout all project phases.
- Drive the Risk & Opportunity Management process and maintain the associated register.
- Work with Finance to compare costs incurred and time spent against planning.
- Prepare and publish reports as required.
- Define and deliver relevant KPIs and dashboards for performance tracking.
- Contribute to team reviews and support project management reviews.
- Occasional travel for business may be required.
