Summary: The PMO Planner role requires an individual with active DV clearance to develop and maintain integrated project schedules, ensuring alignment with programme plans and monitoring performance. The position involves producing planning metrics and supporting governance forums while promoting best practices in planning. Candidates should have proven experience in PMO planning, particularly in complex programmes, and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and assure integrated project and programme schedules.
  • Establish and manage baseline plans, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Maintain alignment between master programme plans and individual project schedules.
  • Monitor schedule performance, identifying variances, slippage, risks, and dependencies.
  • Produce planning metrics, dashboards, and reporting for governance forums and customer reviews.
  • Support schedule assurance activities, health checks, and internal reviews.
  • Promote planning best practice and ensure compliance with governance and contractual requirements.
  • Support recovery planning and continuous improvement of planning processes, templates, and tools.
  • Provide planning expertise and constructive challenge to Project and Programme Managers.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience within a PMO planning or scheduling role supporting complex programmes.
  • Strong understanding of programme and project lifecycle planning.
  • Experience maintaining integrated schedules across multiple projects or workstreams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project or equivalent planning tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel with strong PowerPoint and Word skills.
  • Experience using SharePoint and programme document repositories.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, proactive, collaborative, and delivery focused.

PMO Planner Responsibilities
