Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive governance, reporting, and delivery assurance across a £50m+ portfolio.
  • Support C-suite stakeholders with high-quality data analysis and financial alignment.
  • Enforce standard governance and best practices across six themes.
  • Monitor portfolio health, manage RAIDs, and ensure quality assurance of change requests.
  • Draft minutes and produce materials for working groups and SteerCo meetings.
  • Handle ad hoc stakeholder requests for upward management support.
  • Manage risks, issues, and blockers, and escalate as necessary.
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations tailored to various audiences.
  • Utilize strong Excel skills, including VB and Macros, for reporting.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of PMO experience in a financial services organization.
  • Experience managing portfolios in programs exceeding $50 million.
  • Strong data analysis and report generation skills.
  • Proficiency in dashboard development and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent presentation skills, particularly for C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation skills for processes and project statuses.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Company Introduction:
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled PMO Manager with a financial services background to join their team on a hybrid basis.

Non negotiable must haves:

  • Support to enforce standard governance and best practice across the 6 themes
  • Support monitor portfolio health, RAIDs management, quality assurance of CR's and monthly financial alignment across the 6 themes
  • Support quality assurance of status reporting and monitor plans
  • Support during working groups / SteerCo to draft minutes and produce material to support these forums
  • Ad hoc stakeholder requests to support upward management
  • 5 yrs+ PMO experience in a FS org
  • 5yrs+ PMO in $50m+ Programme


Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
You will be responsible for driving governance, reporting, and delivery assurance across a complex £50m+ portfolio, supporting C-suite stakeholders through high-quality data analysis, financial alignment, and strategic PMO oversight.

  • C-Suite level facing within the bank, MD level and above, working with this level of stakeholder is essential
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience facing off against this level of stakeholder/ Delivery assurance
  • Managed a portfolio/background of running small portfolio
  • This is a portfolio level engagement, understanding and collating the ask and information is crucial
  • Ask the tough questions
  • Flag and manage risks issues, blockers/Escalation
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills (VB / Macros experience)
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work at pace
  • Able to produce high quality work, the expectations of quality are very high
  • Comfortable in an ever changing environment
  • Strong Microsoft office skills, excel and PowerPoint in particular


Required Skills/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyse project data, including performance metrics, financial data, and resource utilisation.
  • Report Generation: Expertise in creating detailed and high-quality reports that provide insights into project status, performance, and outcomes.
  • Dashboard Development: Proficiency in using reporting tools and software to create interactive and visual dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at c-suite level, understanding their needs and presenting information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Presentation Skills: Skilled in presenting complex data and insights in an easily understandable way, tailored to different audiences. Be able to understand complex data that you are presenting in order to face questions/challenges from C-Suite level stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Proficiency in documenting processes, methodologies, and project statuses in a clear and structured format.
