PMO Lead / Manager Engineering / Construction / Energy / Utilities
Up to 500 per day (Outside IR35)
London / Midlands (1-2 days per week onsite)
6 months initially
My client is an International Consultancy who urgently require a PMO Lead / Manager with proven experience of leading PMO functions within Enterprise scale organisations, working under pressure against fixed deadlines and demonstrable long term engagements seeing projects through challenging moments.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a PMO Lead / Manager working in large, complex organisations (preferably within the Engineering / Construction / Energy / Utilities sector(s)
Comfortable overseeing project execution, provide guidance and direction for the PMO, and ensure that all projects are delivered with high quality and in a timely manner
Previous experience of working under pressure against fixed deadlines
Demonstrable long term engagements, seeing projects through challenging moments
Experience of working on multiple workstreams concurrently
RAID Management, escalation, prioritisation, assurance and mitigating risk capability
Project level and Programme level reporting to Executive level
Develop and maintain project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
Ability to track and report Project / Programme performance against defined objectives and communicate concisely to very Senior Stakeholders including Executive / C-Level
Ensure all documentation is maintained to audit standard
Advise, guide and lead project teams where necessary to align with PMO standards
Proven experience of forecasting and tracking significant budgets, with expertise in providing analysis and reports to senior stakeholders for regular, consistent and accurate updates
Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management skills (clarity, engagement, accuracy and humour)
Nice to have:
Good understanding of CAPEX, OPEX and TOTEX around budgeting and forecasting
Previous exposure to working on Operational Technology (OT) / Cyber Programmes
Immediate availability
Ideally Degree level educated
Relevant certifications (ie PMO-CP, PMP, PgMP, PfMP etc)
