Summary: The PMO Lead will be responsible for establishing PMO methodologies for a significant Capital Programme in Southampton, overseeing governance, reporting, and assurance mechanisms. This role involves auditing existing capital programmes, identifying risks and gaps, and ensuring successful delivery of projects aligned with PMO standards. The position is crucial for driving transformational change and improving outcomes for the city and its residents. Key Responsibilities:

• Establish PMO methodologies for the Capital Programme, including governance, reporting, and assurance mechanisms.
• Audit existing capital programmes, identify issues, risks, and gaps, and recommend solutions.
• Develop plans to align ongoing capital projects with PMO methodology and governance.
• Prioritise activities for successful delivery and recommend resource plans for ongoing assurance.
• Accountable for the overall assurance of Capital Programme delivery and high-quality handover of deliverables to the PMO team.

• Extensive experience in PMO roles, particularly in establishing PMO frameworks and methodologies.
• Strong project management skills, including designing, initiating, planning, and managing programmes.
