Summary: The PMO Analyst role involves supporting the Head of PMO and the PMO team in delivering programme insights through data analysis and governance. The position requires effective management of processes and tools to transform programme information into actionable insights. The analyst will also provide training and support on PMO processes while ensuring adherence to data governance standards. This is a 3-month contract role based in Birmingham, requiring on-site presence 2-3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides PMO services including maintaining plans, financial monitoring, decision-making support, benefits tracking, and managing risks, issues, actions, and assumptions.
- Co-ordinate the production of reports to support governance by collating, analysing, evaluating, and manipulating data.
- Ensures that the PMO document library is maintained and that registers, logs, and key documents are kept up to date.
- Provide education, training, and first line support on PMO processes, procedures, and tools to programme team members.
- Support the Head of PMO and programme leadership in championing PMO best practices.
- Work with the Head of PMO to improve key PMO services for the programme.
- Act as facilitator in programme events as required.
- Conduct assurance and regular health checks across the programme governance structure.
Key Skills:
- Data analysis and management applications and tools in PMO and programme management.
- Understanding of programme intelligence principles and their value.
- Good commercial understanding.
- Ability to present statistical information effectively.
- Strong understanding of data governance.
- Prior knowledge of developing programme insights, modelling, data aggregation, and GDPR.
