Summary: The PMO Analyst in Tax will support the successful delivery of Tax aspects within a large Finance transformation programme at Flutter Group.   • Synthesize and consolidate data to identify risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, assumptions, and actions at the workstream or programme level.
  • Review data quality and provide feedback to delivery roles on improvement areas.
  • Create and contribute to workstream reporting, including steering packs and status reports.
  • Track reasons for Amber or Red status and document corrective action plans.
  • Support governance forums by preparing agendas, minutes, and action tracking.
  • Organize and store information for safety, accessibility, and traceability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in delivery practices.

Role Overview

As a PMO Analyst in Tax, you will be responsible for supporting and enabling the successful delivery of the Tax aspects of a large Finance transformation programme across the Flutter Group, and supporting delivery of other projects as required across the Tax Technology team. In the Tax Technology team, you will work alongside the central Polaris PMO team and be passionate about governance and reporting. Your responsibilities include producing executive reports for the Tax Leadership Team and reporting on workstream progress. You will also synthesise and analyse project and programme data to give relevant insights to interested parties. You will work closely through collaboration and communication with a variety of delivery roles such as Project Managers, Programme Managers, PMO Analysts and Workstream leads, and with the global Tax team including the Tax Leadership team and Tax SMEs. You will support the Tax and Polaris Delivery teams using appropriate Governance standards and guidelines, and provide assurance that standards and best practice are followed.

The team

The Tax Team are managed by the Tax Director who reports directly into the group’s CFO and leads a high profile tax function based in the Flutter Group’s offices in London, Dublin, Leeds and the Isle of Man. The Group operates in a wide number of international locations. The Tax Team works closely with the business to manage the Group’s tax affairs. Our Tax Technology team plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance and optimising tax processes through advanced technological solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Collect project and programme data from the Tax workstream, ensuring that it is comprehensive, accurate and up to date
  • Synthesise and consolidate this data and roll up to workstream or programme level risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, assumptions and actions
  • Review data quality, ensuring that the information is accurate and consistent
  • Work closely with delivery roles to provide feedback on data quality and identify improvement areas, tracking these through to resolution
  • Create and contribute to workstream reporting (eg. steering packs, status reports) in order to provide transparency and facilitate well informed, timely discussions and decision making
  • Adapt reporting based on target audience, so that the analysis is easily understood
  • Track reasons for Amber or Red status and ensure that there is a clear corrective action plan documented, tracking to closure
  • Support governance forums by preparing and distributing agendas, minutes and actions, following up action updates and tracking to closure
  • Support effective finance administration e.g. collation of financial data, financial variance analysis
  • Understand Polaris and Flutter delivery and governance standards, guidelines and support their use across the programme
  • Organise and store information in a way that is safe, accessible and ensures traceability/auditability
  • Support & contribute towards continuous improvement in delivery practices
