The Opportunity
We're supporting a major consultancy delivering a large-scale public sector transformation programme and are looking for a PMO Analyst to join the team.
This role would suit someone with a strong PMO background who enjoys working across governance, reporting and stakeholder management activities, while helping to ensure programmes are delivered effectively.
Following an initial 12-month Fixed Term Contract, there is a strong intention to convert the successful candidate into a permanent member of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support programme governance and PMO activities
- Maintain RAID logs, actions and programme documentation
- Produce project and programme reporting packs
- Track project progress and key milestones
- Support planning, scheduling and delivery assurance activities
- Engage with a range of stakeholders, including senior leadership teams
- Analyse project data and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the PMO function
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a PMO, PMO Analyst or Project Support environment
- Strong governance and reporting experience
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced programme environment
- Organised and detail-oriented approach
Desirable Experience
- Power BI
- Power Platform
- Data analysis and dashboard reporting
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes
- Public sector experience
Location
This is a hybrid role requiring attendance in Newcastle three days per week.
Candidates should be based within commuting distance of Newcastle or be willing to relocate.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Candidates must either hold active SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
- To be eligible, candidates must:
- Have lived continuously in the UK for the past 5 years
- Have no periods of 6 months or longer spent outside the UK during that time
- Hold a British passport or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
