PMO Analyst
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a PMO Analyst.
This role will be Inside of IR35, so you will be required to use an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company.
Key Requirements:
The PMO Analyst supports project, programme, and portfolio governance activities by providing accurate reporting, financial analysis, planning support, risk management, and management information.
The role ensures delivery teams and stakeholders have timely, reliable insights to support effective decision-making and successful execution of strategic initiatives.
Working closely with Project Managers, Programme Managers, Finance teams, and business stakeholders, the PMO Analyst helps maintain governance standards, portfolio transparency, and delivery controls while driving continuous improvement across PMO processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Support governance forums, steering committees, and portfolio reviews.
Prepare and distribute project, programme, and portfolio status reports.
Ensure governance documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained.
Track key actions, decisions, and governance commitments.
Monitor compliance with project delivery standards and governance requirements.
Maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
Monitor progress against agreed timelines and objectives.
Coordinate updates from project managers and workstream leads.
Support programme planning and integrated portfolio roadmaps.
Track deliverables and highlight potential schedule deviations.
Support budget tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
Maintain actuals, forecasts, accruals, and funding positions.
Assist with financial governance and investment reporting.
Provide variance analysis and financial insights to stakeholders.
Support annual planning and budget cycles.
Maintain RAID logs and ensure timely updates.
Track risk mitigation actions and issue resolution activities.
Escalate emerging risks and dependencies where appropriate.
Produce regular risk and issue reporting for governance forums.
Support resource tracking and capacity management processes.
Produce resource utilization and demand reports.
Assist with onboarding, resource planning, and workforce reporting.
Highlight resource constraints and capacity risks.
Create dashboards and management information for leadership teams.
Analyse delivery, financial, and operational data to identify trends and insights.
Ensure reporting data quality and consistency across programmes.
Support reporting automation and process improvements.
Generate executive-ready presentations and performance packs.
Maintain project repositories, governance artefacts, and documentation.
Manage project templates, standards, and reporting packs.
Coordinate meetings, workshops, and governance forums.
Track actions, decisions, and commitments across programmes.
Key Experience:
3-7 years of experience within PMO, Project Support, Project Coordination, Business Management, or Portfolio Management.
Experience supporting complex programmes, technology projects, or transformation initiatives.
Strong analytical and data management capabilities.
Experience producing executive reports and management information.
Understanding of project lifecycle, governance, and delivery methodologies.
Advanced Microsoft Excel.
PowerPoint presentation development.
Portfolio reporting and dashboard creation.
Financial analysis and forecasting.
RAID management and governance reporting.
Resource and capacity reporting.
Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Planview, Clarity, MS Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
PRINCE2 Foundation.
CAPM, PMP, or equivalent project management certification.
Agile Fundamentals Certification.
P3O Foundation.
Lean Six Sigma Foundation.
