Summary: The PMO Analyst role involves overseeing the effective running of delivery methodology and governance for projects within a business area or portfolio. Key responsibilities include quality management, planning, risk management, and change management, ensuring alignment with governance standards. The position requires strong stakeholder management and the ability to implement solutions for identified issues. Candidates must hold relevant qualifications and possess extensive experience in project management and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective running of the Delivery Methodology and Governance regime for projects/programmes.
- Facilitate development and maintenance of programme and project plans and dependency logs.
- Manage stakeholder information and communication activities.
- Oversee the Risk Management process for delivery projects/programmes.
- Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place for projects/programmes.
- Run Governance meetings and resolve issues related to delivery methodology.
- Establish relationships with Procurement to optimize third-party management.
- Build relationships with internal and external customers.
- Select and implement tools for effective project delivery.
- Apply business knowledge to create intellectual property and improve processes.
- Identify root causes of problems and implement decisions.
Key Skills:
- Recognised qualification in PMO/Assurance skills (e.g., P30).
- Prince 2 or certification in recognized project management methodology.
- Thorough understanding of delivery governance principles.
- Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in management reporting techniques and performance metrics.
- Broad understanding of financial controls and project accounting.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with PM and PMO tools (e.g., Clarity/Niku).
- Risk and compliance management experience.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
