Summary: The PMO Analyst role within the Education Capital Programme at Bristol City Council is crucial for the effective delivery of capital works, including new school buildings and refurbishments. This position involves close collaboration with project managers and stakeholders to enhance governance, reporting, and project data management. The analyst will play a key role in maintaining programme controls and ensuring compliance with internal processes. This is a hybrid role requiring at least one day per week on-site at City Hall, Bristol.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly highlight reports, dashboards, and programme summaries for senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate programme boards, including meeting logistics and documentation.
- Support project managers in maintaining project records and reporting dashboards.
- Maintain core programme controls such as integrated programme plans and RAID logs.
- Monitor communications and ensure timely documentation across the programme.
- Assist in financial administration, including tracking budgets and expenditure.
- Provide general administrative support and respond to stakeholder queries.
- Identify and resolve gaps in programme documentation and governance.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a PMO Analyst or Programme Support Officer role.
- Knowledge of governance structures and project lifecycle methodologies.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems like SharePoint.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
- Experience in a public sector or regulated environment.
- Desirable experience in education or capital delivery environments.
