Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out day-to-day plumbing and general maintenance tasks including drainage repairs to a high standard.
- Undertake associated tasks such as re-tiling and making good after plumbing works.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently, aiming for a first-time fix wherever possible.
- Deliver a professional, courteous service that reflects Paradigm’s values and commitment to customer care.
- Follow all safety procedures, complete risk assessments, and maintain safe working practices.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork and digital records in line with company procedures.
- Use materials efficiently, maintain van stock, and take care of company assets.
Key Skills:
- City & Guilds (Part 1 & 2), NVQ Level 2, or equivalent experience.
- Apprentice trained or minimum 5 years’ experience in plumbing.
- Strong knowledge of domestic plumbing repairs and fault-finding.
- Experience with general building tasks such as tiling and decorating.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Due to continued growth and the recent acquisition of a significant number of properties, Paradigm Housing Group is expanding its team. We’re now looking for two experienced Plumbers to join our Reactive team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a newly created opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive team, delivering essential services to our customers across the South East.
About The Role
As a key member of our Direct Labour Organisation (DLO), you’ll carry out a wide range of plumbing and general maintenance tasks across our 17,000 homes. You’ll work independently, using your multi-skilled expertise to deliver high quality repairs and maintenance with a strong focus on achieving first-time fixes. We’ll equip you with everything you need to succeed:
- A fully stocked van with fuel card
- All necessary tools and equipment
- A tablet to manage your schedule and documentation
Key Responsibilities
- Plumbing & Maintenance: Carry out day-to-day plumbing and general maintenance tasks including drainage repairs (toilets/blockages etc) to a high standard, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
- General Building Works: Undertake associated tasks such as re-tiling, (boxing/bath panels) and making good after plumbing works.
- Fault-Finding: Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently, aiming for a first-time fix wherever possible.
- Customer Service: Deliver a professional, courteous service that reflects Paradigm’s values and commitment to customer care.
- Health & Safety: Follow all safety procedures, complete risk assessments, and maintain safe working practices.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all required paperwork and digital records in line with company procedures.
- Resource Management: Use materials efficiently, maintain van stock, and take care of company assets.
About You
You’re a qualified plumber with a broad skill set and a proactive, customer focused approach. You take pride in your work, communicate clearly, and are committed to delivering excellent service every time.

You’ll be based in High Wycombe or Chesham, with travel across our property portfolio in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Berkshire, and surrounding areas. Interviews will be held at either our Wooburn Green head office or Chesham office.
