Platfrom Support Engineer - Elastic Stack - £700 per day - 6 months

Summary: The role of Platform Support Engineer (Elastic Stack) involves providing application platform support for electronic trading systems within the ENET environment. The position requires expert-level knowledge of the Elastic Stack and entails both in-office and remote work arrangements. The contract is inside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate for a six-month assignment. The successful candidate will join a team focused on managing and optimizing ELK infrastructure in high-performance environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide application platform support for the ENET environment used in electronic trading systems.
• Architect, deploy, and manage ELK infrastructure across distributed, high-performance environments.
• Monitor cluster health and optimize index lifecycle management and shard performance.
• Integrate ELK with packet capture/analysis tools for enhanced observability.
• Create data pipelines and optimize ingestion strategies for Logstash and Beats.
• Automate ELK deployment, monitoring, and alerting pipelines using scripting.

Key Skills:

• Expert-level knowledge of the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats).
• Strong understanding of index lifecycle management (ILM) and shard optimization.
• Practical knowledge of IP networking and data flow in distributed systems.
• Experience with data pipeline creation and performance tuning of Logstash and Beats.
• Scripting proficiency in Python and/or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of Corvil and/or Pico tools is beneficial.
