Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage platforms based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and related technologies
- Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and secure configurations
- Manage build, deployment, and orchestration processes using Jenkins and similar CI/CD tools
- Automate deployment and configuration activities using Scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks
- Develop, enhance, and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines
- Ensure repeatable, reliable, and secure deployment processes aligned with best practices
- Contribute to SRE practices including monitoring, incident response, latency management, and service reliability improvements
- Support observability initiatives by integrating monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
- Troubleshoot platform issues across Red Hat, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, networking, and security layers
- Work with DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Development teams to ensure seamless end-to-end deployments
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, deployment runbooks, and operational workflows
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What You Will Ideally Bring
- 8-12 years' experience in a platform engineering role
- Extensive hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (OpenShift experience is a plus)
- Proficient in Jenkins and pipeline management
- Strong background in deployment automation and Scripting (Bash, Python, YAML)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (beneficial)
- Understanding of SRE concepts: monitoring/alerting, reliability/resilience engineering, automation of operational tasks
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in secure or compliance-driven environments

- Duration: 6 months
- Rate: £425-450 per day
- Location: Wokingham - Office based
