Summary: The Platform Engineer role involves supporting the development, deployment, and operation of cloud-native applications within an AWS environment. The position requires expertise in Kubernetes and Helm, along with experience in CI/CD pipelines and microservices architecture. The role is an Inside IR35 contract with a requirement for on-site presence in Telford twice a month. The contract duration is six months or longer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain and support Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Develop and manage Helm charts for application deployment and lifecycle management.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- Support the containerisation and deployment of applications.
- Work closely with engineering teams delivering Java-based microservices.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
- Troubleshoot platform and deployment issues across multiple environments.
