Summary: The Platform Engineer role involves supporting the development, deployment, and operation of cloud-native applications within an AWS environment. The position requires expertise in Kubernetes and Helm, along with experience in CI/CD pipelines and microservices architecture. The role is an Inside IR35 contract with a requirement for on-site presence in Telford twice a month. The contract duration is six months or longer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain and support Kubernetes-based platforms.
  • Develop and manage Helm charts for application deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
  • Support the containerisation and deployment of applications.
  • Work closely with engineering teams delivering Java-based microservices.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
  • Troubleshoot platform and deployment issues across multiple environments.

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to support the development, deployment and operation of cloud-native applications and platforms within an AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and support Kubernetes-based platforms.
