Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available platform solutions.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application and infrastructure deployments.
- Automate operational processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and consistency.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to implement platform best practices.
- Monitor platform performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Support cloud migration and modernisation initiatives across enterprise environments.
- Ensure platform solutions align with security, governance, and compliance requirements.
As a successful Platform Engineer, you will have:
- Proven experience working as a Platform Engineer within enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong experience with cloud technologies including Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Strong knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or equivalent.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications in cloud technologies or DevOps practices would be advantageous.
