Summary: The EPOS & SCO Platform Engineer role involves supporting, maintaining, and enhancing EPOS and self-checkout platforms within a large retail environment. The engineer will work with both Windows and Linux systems, providing third-line support and troubleshooting. This is a hybrid role requiring two days on-site in Bracknell.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, manage, and support SCCM/MECM environments.
- Create and troubleshoot OSD Task Sequences.
- Deploy Windows 10/11 images, applications, patches, and drivers.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell automation.
- Migrate legacy VBScript solutions to PowerShell.
- Support EPOS/SCO platforms across Windows and Linux.
- Manage configuration, patching, and platform maintenance.
- Provide 3rd Line support and root cause analysis.
- Support testing, releases, and Disaster Recovery activities.
Key Skills:
- Strong SCCM/MECM administration experience.
- Proven experience building Task Sequences from scratch.
- Windows OSD deployment expertise.
- Experience deploying driver packages and updates.
- Strong troubleshooting of Task Sequence failures, MSI installation errors, and deployment issues.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
- Experience improving and optimising scripts.
- Experience with software packaging and release processes.
- Strong Windows administration skills.
- Retail, EPOS, or endpoint management experience desirable.
