Summary: The role of Planning Lawyer involves providing legal support for planning and consenting stages of significant infrastructure projects on a 6-month contract basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on planning and consenting matters relating to the development of large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Support the preparation, submission, and examination of Development Consent Orders (DCOs).
- Advise on planning policy, environmental impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement during the pre-application and examination phases.
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate the successful progression of infrastructure projects through the planning system.
Key Skills:
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent with demonstrable experience in planning law.
- Direct experience with DCO processes and/or supporting the delivery of major infrastructure projects.
