Summary: The role of Construction Planner P6 involves developing and managing detailed Primavera P6 construction schedules specifically for tunneling projects. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure accurate planning and alignment with project milestones. The contract is outside IR35, allowing for a hybrid working arrangement with occasional site visits. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in tunneling and civil engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed P6 construction schedules for tunneling works.
- Build and maintain Primavera P6 plans reflecting tunneling sequences, constraints, and risk events.
- Create fragnets to model actual vs. planned progress in complex underground environments.
- Review subcontractor programmes for alignment with project milestones and tunneling methodologies.
- Collaborate with engineering, delivery, and commercial teams for accurate planning.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with Primavera P6 scheduling, ideally in tunneling.
- Strong understanding of tunneling techniques, sequencing, and associated risks.
- Background in tunneling, civil engineering, rail, utilities, or infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills for identifying programme risks.
- Confident communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Rate: £400–£450 per day (Outside IR35) 6 month initial term.

Infraspec is supporting a major infrastructure contractor who has recently secured a significant framework involving complex tunneling and underground works. As part of this expansion, we are seeking an experienced P6 Construction Planner with tunneling infrastructure expertise to join the project team.
Overview
You’ll be responsible for developing and managing detailed P6 construction schedules for tunneling works, from early-stage planning through to delivery. This includes:
- Building and maintaining Primavera P6 plans that reflect tunneling sequences, constraints, and risk events.
- Creating fragnets to model actual vs. planned progress, especially in complex underground environments.
- Reviewing subcontractor programmes to ensure alignment with project milestones and tunneling methodologies.
- Collaborating with engineering, delivery, and commercial teams to ensure accurate and realistic planning.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience creating and managing schedules in Primavera P6, ideally for tunneling.
- Strong understanding of tunneling techniques, sequencing, and associated risks.
- Background in one or more of the following sectors: tunneling, civil engineering, rail, utilities, or infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills to identify programme risks and mitigation strategies.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
