Summary: This role is a Placement Year opportunity for a Trainee Insolvency Administrator, where the individual will support a team dealing with Corporate Insolvency casework while managing their own caseload. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with Corporate Insolvency cases.
  • Liaising with agents and solicitors as directed.
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory paperwork.
  • Aiding in the preparation of documents for banks and other financial institutions.
  • Assisting with the disposal of assets, collection of debts, and distribution of funds.
  • Drafting correspondence to creditors and other interested parties on request.
  • Providing ad-hoc administrative support to the team as required.
  • Assisting with investigation matters as needed.
  • Assisting with employee claims as needed.
  • Data input to internal systems.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Processing payments in various formats (e.g., cheques, chaps).
  • Conducting dividend runs.
  • Monitoring and clearing in-tray/emails on a timely basis.
  • Performing various compliance duties.
  • Filing all case-related documentation.

Main purpose of role: This role will be part of a wider team dealing with Corporate Insolvency case work where you will support Partners, Directors and Managers as well as undertaking your own casework and caseload. This is a great opportunity to join an established and experienced professional team where your career can grow. This is a Placement Year opportunity to start between June 1th 2026, and August 31st 2026, and will last for a 12 month period. Hours: Monday to Friday 9AM - 5PM

Key Functions:

  • Assisting with Corporate Insolvency cases.
  • Liaising with agents and solicitors as directed associated with the cases.
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory paperwork.
  • Aiding in the preparation of documents for banks and other financial institutions.
  • Assisting with the disposal of assets, collection of debts and the distribution of funds.
  • Drafting correspondence to creditors and other interested parties on request.
  • Providing ad-hoc administrative support to the team as required.

Ideally you will have studied a relevant degree which will have either an Accountancy, Business or Law basis. Although candidates with relevant experience or have a strong degree in another area and give the impression that they are likely to have an aptitude for business commerciality will be considered, especially if they have relevant A levels. A desire and willingness to take further professional examinations in order to progress is a must. For example, once relevant work experience has been gained, you will be encouraged to take further qualifications, if you so desired. We expect a proactive and meticulous approach to all aspects of the role. You will have good time management skills and have the ability to prioritise. It is essential that you have an understanding of the need for good communication and feedback with other members of the department.
