Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strength and conditioning coaching to high-performance athletes.
- Assist in the development of talented athletes in the SASI Wheelchair Basketball squad.
- Work collaboratively with athletes and coaches to optimize physical performance.
- Participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program.
- Be available for rostered shifts averaging 9 hours per week.
- Engage in some work outside of normal hours and potential interstate travel.
Key Skills:
- Undergraduate degree in Sport Science, Exercise Physiology, or relevant discipline.
- Level 2 Australian Strength & Conditioning Association (ASCA) Coaching Accreditation.
- Current membership of ASCA.
- Senior First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience in planning and delivering resistance training programs to athletes.
- Postgraduate study in sport science (desirable).

Role Details
This role assists the development of talented high performance athletes by providing expert support and technical services to athletes in the SASI Wheelchair Basketball squad. The key area of support is providing strength and conditioning (S&C) coaching to improve athlete performance. The position is expected to be rostered to work an average of 9 hours per week across three shifts per week.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent
- Some work outside of normal hours may be required
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required
- This role requires a working with children check
Essential
- An undergraduate degree in Sport Science, Exercise Physiology or other relevant discipline
- Level 2 Australian Strength & Conditioning Association (ASCA) Coaching Accreditation
- Current member of ASCA
- Pro Structure Senior First Aid Certificate or equivalent
Desirable
- Completed or undertaking post graduate study in sport science
- Demonstrated experience in planning and delivery of resistance training programs to athletic population
