Summary: The role of Programme Planner involves creating, maintaining, and controlling integrated programme schedules for a Global IT Systems Integrator based in London. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain programme and project schedules using DXC standard planning tools.
  • Map milestones and deliverables to contract requirements and ensure alignment across the programme.
  • Monitor progress, update plans, and produce reporting packs, dashboards, and schedule insights.
  • Manage stage gates, baselines, and change control, ensuring governance standards are met.
  • Facilitate planning workshops and engage closely with project teams, PMO, and senior stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage schedule risks, issues, and cross workstream dependencies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, and reporting.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in programme or portfolio planning in complex, multi project environments.
  • Strong skills with planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, PowerBI, Excel).
  • Knowledge of project and programme methodologies (MSP, PRINCE2, Agile).
  • Excellent communication, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively.
  • Professional project/programme management certifications.
  • Experience of complex programmes in a BPO contract setting.
  • Experience in enterprise PMO environments and/or automated reporting.
  • Familiarity with Agile planning techniques.

Our client is a Global IT Systems Integrator who requires PMO resources to be based from their customer site in London and require NPPV.

START: ASAP
RATE: £400 - £450 PER DAY (INSIDE IR35)

The Programme Planner is responsible for creating, maintaining, and controlling integrated programme schedules that provide a clear, accurate, and trusted view of delivery progress. Acting as the single source of truth for milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery confidence, this role ensures alignment across projects and supports effective decision making.
