Summary: The role of Perinatal Community Mental Health Team Nurse within NHS Fife involves providing specialized mental health care to women during pregnancy and the postnatal period. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment and treatment for mental health issues in women during pregnancy and the postnatal period.
- Deliver pre-conception advice for women at high risk of postpartum mental illness.
- Facilitate the mother-infant relationship and promote infant development.
- Act as a Mental Health Liaison Nurse to the Wider Maternity service.
- Respond to referrals and manage complex mental health cases.
- Provide learning opportunities for peers, student nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Engage in partnership working with various stakeholders.
- Participate in clinical supervision and educational development.
Key Skills:
