Summary: The role of SRE Performance Testing involves designing and implementing performance testing strategies, monitoring system performance, and collaborating with development teams to ensure application reliability. The position is based in Farnborough and requires a mix of on-site and remote work. The contract is set to last until March 31, 2026. Candidates will be expected to automate operational tasks and maintain CI/CD pipelines for performance testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement performance testing strategies using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.
- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support performance testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications meet performance and reliability standards.
- Automate operational tasks using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python scripts.
- Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (eg, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Participate in incident response and conduct root cause analysis for performance-related issues.
- Document performance benchmarks, testing procedures, and system configurations.
Key Skills:
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner).
- Strong understanding of system performance metrics and optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
- Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python).
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and incident response.
- Strong documentation skills.
