Summary: The Performance Test Lead for a major policing organization will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) testing across critical systems as part of a technology transformation programme. This role is crucial for ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability standards are met to support frontline operations and public service expectations. Key Responsibilities:

• Define and lead the end-to-end NFR testing strategy for multiple workstreams
• Oversee execution of tests across performance, load, scalability, resilience, and reliability
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, and DevOps teams
• Identify key metrics and performance thresholds, ensuring alignment with SLAs and service expectations
• Manage defect reporting, triage, and risk mitigation related to NFR issues
• Provide expert insight into tools, frameworks, and continuous improvement of testing processes

Key Skills:

• Active NPPV clearance
• Proven experience leading performance and non-functional testing in large, enterprise-scale programmes
• Strong knowledge of testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and modern delivery pipelines (e.g. CI/CD, containerisation, microservices)
• Ability to analyse complex systems and recommend performance improvements
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
