Summary: The Performance Test Engineer role focuses on providing quality assurance for an E-commerce application, specifically through performance testing activities. Key Responsibilities:
- JMeter Scripting: ESSENTIAL. Design, implement, and manage JMeter scripts to perform Load, Stress, and Endurance testing on SAP Commerce APIs, focusing on API OCC endpoints.
- Performance Test Execution: Execute and monitor performance tests, analysing data to uncover bottlenecks, throughput issues, and any response time degradation.
- Scripting setup on Test Environment: Ensure JMeter is effectively set up to simulate realistic traffic levels and behavior.
- Analysis and Reporting: Generate detailed reports on test results, offering insights into system behavior under load and recommending improvements for response time, stability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to potentially resolve identified performance issues, improving server response times, optimizing database queries, and tuning API performance.
- Documentation: Document test scripts, configurations, and results in a comprehensive and reusable format for continuous improvement and repeatability.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in performance testing, specifically with JMeter on API-based eCommerce platforms, preferably on SAP Commerce (Hybris).
- Proficient in JMeter Scripting for Load, Stress, and Endurance testing.
- Familiarity with Commerce platforms RESTful API and understanding of its architecture and workflows.
- Experience with performance analysis tools and monitoring software.
- Highly appreciated a SAP Commerce (Hybris) previous experience.
- Highly appreciated experience in QA Automation testing using JAVA Selenium.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools for integrating performance testing within a DevOps pipeline.
- Knowledge of eCommerce domain best practices and common performance bottlenecks.
- Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and testing within scalable environments.
