Summary: The PeopleSoft Analyst (HCM & FSCM) role involves supporting the PeopleSoft ERP system through application development, including analysis, design, and implementation of reports and interfaces. The position requires a strong understanding of PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM, along with experience in SQL and system development life cycles. The role is hybrid, requiring one day onsite per month in Madison, Wisconsin, and candidates must be residents of Wisconsin or willing to relocate. The position is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support PeopleSoft ERP system through application development efforts, including analysis, design, build, test, implementation, and support of reports, interfaces, and extensions.
  • Ensure the Development Section process, standards, and structures are implemented, adhered to, and improved upon.
  • Prepare detailed analyses, plans, diagrams, and procedures within a technical design document for existing and proposed PeopleSoft applications.
  • Assist business analysts and users in defining a project or problem, feasibility of the project, and provide estimates for a project or problem solution.
  • Determine the effort involved in implementing new systems or enhancements to existing systems due to changes in user requirements, legislative mandates, new software releases, changes in equipment configurations, etc.
  • Suggest technical solutions to enhance business processing efficiency of existing and/or new processes.
  • Demonstrate developed functionality to functional team prior to the implementation of new or revised technical systems and offer advice and guidance during the implementation process.
  • Perform on-call or scheduled after-hours work as required.
  • Train and mentor State staff.
  • Attend work regularly in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.
  • Comply with all applicable agency policies and procedures, including safety and standards of conduct.
  • Communicate respectfully and work harmoniously with all co-workers, customers, and vendors.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability with the ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Take initiative to prevent and solve problems.

Key Skills:

  • Experience working with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) 9.2 and Financial and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) 9.2.
  • General understanding of underlying data structures and database tables supporting PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM.
  • Strong skills in writing SQL statements and creating and managing queries in PeopleSoft Query Manager.
  • Experience in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for multiple PeopleSoft implementations along with support experience for complex PeopleSoft applications, processes, and reports.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PeopleSoft technology framework (PeopleTools, Integration Broker, Fluid UI, Reporting Tools, Workflow, LifeCycle Tools).
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Integration tools and integrating PeopleSoft applications with third-party applications using web services.
  • Experience with HCM Tax Updates, Oracle Critical Patch Updates, PeopleSoft PUM Updates, and PeopleTools Upgrades.
